Kevin Whitford (PhysioXtra Norwood Director)
Kevin has been a Director of PhysioXtra since 1996. He has seen considerable growth from the company and now oversees the WorkXtra OHS&W & Aged Care Facility. Kevin has successfully completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, a Masters of Applied Science in Manipulative Physiotherapy (1993) and a Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy (1985). Further to his own academic achievements he is an Educator at The University of South Australia; Postgraduate Musculoskeletal and Sports Program. Kevin has been the head physiotherapist for the Adelaide Crows since 1992 and has over 20 years’ experience in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Along with Kath Chigwidden, Kevin has been instrumental in the development of workplace based interventions for Injury Prevention and Management using the theories trialled and tested in the elite sports field. Implementing this at the Adelaide Football Club has been highly successful and has seen a substantial decrease to soft tissue injuries over the last 6 seasons.
Kerry Bungey (Director of PhysioXtra Norwood)
Kerry joined the PhysioXtra Norwood team in 2006 and joined Kevin as a director of PhysioXtra Norwood in the beginning of 2012. Kerry is a titled sports physiotherapist having successfully completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2005 and Masters of Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2013. Kerry has a diverse range of experience having worked in the hospital system and in private practice. Kerry is the Senior Physiotherapist for the Norwood Football Club, having started with the junior teams in 2007 and progressing to working with the senior teams. She has contributed to the professionalism of the club designing and implementing screenings for the players, injury prevention programs and providing a quality service contributing to the players being able reach their goals including the 2012 and 2013 premiership. Kerry has a background in racquet sports having been a previous South Australian Sports Institute High Performance Scholarship holder representing Australia in Table Tennis. She currently enjoys playing squash and tennis in her spare time.
