PhysioXtra Victor Harbor is located a short walk from the town centre and Ocean St shopping Precinct. Since opening in 2016 we have developed strong connections within the Victor and surrounding areas including sporting clubs, schools and businesses particularly neighbouring gyms, and local medical centres to provide exceptional care to everyone within the community.
All of our physiotherapists are highly trained in general musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and they work with various state and national representative teams. Extensive ongoing education is provided to ensure continual improvement and all physiotherapy consultations are 30 minutes to guarantee a thorough diagnosis and treatment.
Ty Corey (PhysioXtra Victor Harbor Director)
Ty is a highly motivated and passionate physiotherapist who leads a dedicated team. Ty has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement and Health Studies, with a further Masters in Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry). For the past 5 years Ty has travelled with the Under 18 and Under 20 Men State Basketball sides (winning a bronze, gold and silver the past 3 years). He has also been closely involved with Newton Jaguars Netball and Payneham Norwood Union Footy club in the past.
Ty is a keen sportsman himself and plays football for Victor Harbor Football Club, and previously represented the state country side at Basketball. He also enjoys Stand Up Paddle Boarding and is keen to learn how to surf.
Alex Longbottom : Physiotherapist
Joining the team in 2018, Alex moved to the South Coast from Horsham, Victoria after working in the rural health network. Alex has experience working across a wide range of therapy areas including in-hospital physiotherapy and stroke rehabilitation. Alex enjoys many outdoor pursuits including bushwalking, kayaking and white-water rafting, however Alex’s main passion is for rock climbing. He has climbed extensively throughout the USA and Canada but also enjoys regular visits to Mount Arapiles and the Grampians.
Hazel Anderson : Womens’ Health Physiotherapist
Hazel has worked extensively with female athletes and was the physiotherapist for the Contax Netball club for four seasons as well as the SA Under 19, 21 and Australian Netball League sides.
She has completed a Certificate IV in Rehabilitation though Polestar Pilates and teamed this with a Certificate IV in Life Coaching. Hazel completed her more extensive training within Womens Health Physiotherapy in 2014 through WHAT in Sydney. Since completion Hazel has developed a sound understanding and passion for the way that a women’s body changes during pregnancy and the importance of safe and effective management of recovery in order to return to exercise after Childbirth. Hazel is trained in the use of Real Time ultrasound to help her identify core engagement and safe recovery.
